DotVVM 1.1 RC 3

Today we have pushed out DotVVM 1.1 RC 3. If you wonder what happened to the RC 2, the answer is simple – we released it internally and found several bugs we had to fix, so we didn’t even release this version publicly.

RC 3 doesn’t have any new features in comparison to RC 1, it is only a bug fix release.

If you didn’t play with the 1.1 yet, look the previous article about DotVVM 1.1 RC to see a list of new features.

 

What’s Cooking

Since the RTM release of DotVVM 1.1 is very close, we started working on some features for 1.2.

Also, we have given quite significant effort in performance optimizations. We have digged into many areas in the library, like viewmodel serialization, and did several performance improvements. We need to test them carefully to make sure we did not break anything, that’s why they are not included in the version 1.1.

 

DotVVM Business Pack

We are also finishing works on the DotVVM Business Pack. It is feature complete, but there is still a lot of work on the documentation and testing.

Originally we planned to release it at the end of January, but we need a few more weeks to make it stable and usable in a real application.
